The beginning of Campus Kitchen

2010 - 2011

The Campus Kitchen was chartered as a student organization at Auburn University.

Rewnewed growth

2013 - 2014

The Campus Kitchen was restored as an emerging student organization at Auburn University.

CKP-AU Recognized for Sustainability Efforts

2014 - 2015

CKP-AU's efforts were recognized with the 2015 Spirit of Sustainability Award and included a school food backpack program and support for the establishment of other Campus Kitchens chapters.

Growth and Outreach

2015 - 2016

The Campus Kitchens team at Auburn University saw remarkable growth in grants and outreach initiatives, including a crowd-funded campaign, grants, and new partnerships.

2016 - 2017

This year marked a significant expansion in the team's leadership and community partnerships, culminating in recognition at the Food Waste and Hunger Summit as the "Kitchen of the Year".

2017 - 2018

Campus Kitchens at Auburn University continues to expand its community partnerships and increase food donations.

2018 - 2019

The Campus Kitchens Project at Auburn University experienced a revitalization in efficiency and recruitment, almost doubling the number of shift leaders and logging a total of 3,000 volunteer hours.

The Campus Kitchen Project at Auburn University persevered through various challenges, including the COVID-19 pandemic, and implemented new initiatives such as a recycling program and improved kitchen facilities.
