CKP-AU Recognized for Sustainability Efforts
2014 - 2015
Then known as CKP-AU, the organization employed 7 community partners and was assisted by 800 volunteers for the year. Among its initiatives was a school food backpack program, which earned CKP-AU a national award. Additionally, the organization assisted in establishing two other Campus Kitchens chapters in other state universities, showcasing its commitment to food security beyond its local community. CKP-AU's efforts were recognized with the 2015 Spirit of Sustainability Award by the Office of Sustainability, further cementing its role in addressing food insecurity and promoting sustainable practices in the Auburn community.
