Expanding Partnerships and Serving More Meals

2017 - 2018

During the 2017-2018 academic year, Campus Kitchens at Auburn University (CPK) continued to expand its partnerships and increase its impact in the community. With 13 community partners and a new partnership with Golden Corral restaurant for food collection, CPK was able to recover 33,924 pounds of food and serve 34,124 meals to those in need. Additionally, Publix Super Market Charities generously awarded CPK with $5,000, which helped to further support their efforts. The growing impact of CPK's work was recognized by the Campus Kitchens Project network, and their dedication to fighting food waste and hunger earned them the "Innovative Program of the Year" award at the 2018 Food Waste and Hunger Summit.
